About Us

We Inspire Nepal is thrilled to announce the call for application for the ‘Female champions’, a fellowship program supported by UNESCO-UNFPA-UN Women Joint Programme, that provides selected females a platform to become a powerful leader and a change maker in the society. Every year few young, ambitious females are selected, trained who work passionately to contribute back in the communities. This year 20 potential females will be selected, trained, who will then travel to rural communities to teach back and bring transformative impact in lives of people of the community. If you’re a female with visions to create a constructive change in the community and belong to the age group of 16-28, then apply to our fellowship program by June 17th, 2019.

Female Champion is a fellowship program designed to recognize female leaders of the society whose works has been an agent for social contribution and change, brought together some female leaders to provide them with platform to further strengthen their skills to become a bigger  contributing factor in the society.


It was initiated by We Inspire Nepal in collaboration with UNESCO along with Government of Nepal Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and UN WOMEN. We Inspire Nepal is (WIN) is an NGO that aims in strengthening people and society through innovative training, inspiring campaigns and policy level advocacy. UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization) contribute to peace and security by promoting international collaboration in education, sciences, and culture in order to increase universal respect for justice, the rule of law, and human rights along with fundamental freedom proclaimed in the United Nations
Charter.


After successful completion of Female Champions Batch I and II, We Inspire Nepal in collaboration with UNESCO is bringing this wonderful opportunity once again for the third time. Female Champions of first two batches brought their best effort in creating impact in the society with different projects. Apart from societal impact, this fellowship program brought personal development by giving rise to the leader. Female Champions III is majorly focusing on different issues like WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Comprehensive Sexual Education, Gender Equality and Nutrition Education which is also the priority program of nation itself. It is divided into two phases.

1st phase:
Recruitment will be done through online form (call for applications) where females will be selected through different criteria like leadership qualities, passion level and their determination to bring change in the society. Interview will be conducted to the shortlisted candidates among whom 20 female champions will be chosen.


2nd phase:
Selected female champions will be given ToT (training of trainers) on different issues like WASH, Comprehensive Sexual Education, Gender Equality and Nutrition Education. They will be trained rigorously to build their knowledge and skill to train other people along with enhancement in leadership abilities, self-esteem, communication skills and project management skills. The female champions will design different projects based upon targeted issue and also will find out the targeted population for the project. Listed projects will be filtered by WIN personnel and relevant projects will be shortlisted.


After receiving ToT, female champions will be deployed in 5 different districts of Nepal i.e. Achham, Bajura, Sarlahi, Sunsari and Rautahat. Programs will be carried out in different schools, colleges and various areas of these districts focusing on the target population of the project (mainly adolescent, age 10-24) by female champions. Projects will be conducted turn by turn (one after another) in different districts.
